Wreath Bearer

This wreath bearer will work in your yard or in this case...the cemetary.  We put this wreath bearer at a gravesite for an upbeat celebration of our loved ones at Christmas.

Supplies:
4x4 wood
10 inch re-bar
epoxy cement
3/4 x by 8" wood
4 wood screws
1/2 inch dowel rod
1/4 inch dowel rod
black white and orange paint
scarf
artifical holly
wood glue

Tools:
1/2 inch Forstner drill bit
1/4 inch Forstner drill bit
Handsaw

Cut 4x4 28 inches ling. Paint white. Cut 2 arms 8 inches long. Drill 2 holes in top of arm pieces and glue 2 pieces of 1/4 inch dowel rod for thumbs to hold wreath in place.  Screw arms to 4x4 at slight angle. Using 1/2 inch drill bit, drill 2 eyes and nose. Using 1/2 inch dowel rod make eyes and nose.  Trim dowel rod into shape of nose. Using 1/4 inch bit, put 4 pieces of 1/4 inch dowel rod for mouth.  Create hat out of a can, or beanie or whatever you have available.  be sure you have glued pieces,of dowel rod, etc in with wood glue.  Drill hole in base for re-bar and glue in with epoxy cement.
